This is an extremely important investment, and not the time to be shopping price.  The knowledge gained from an inspection is well worth the cost, and the cheapest priced inspector is not necessarily a bargain.  A well-established, full-time professional inspector is going to be at the high end of the spectrum.  The inspector’s qualifications, including his experience, training, and affiliations, should be the most important decision.
